Simplee Dinner Ideas - Steam Drumstick with Wolfberries
Preperation time : 15 minutes
Cooking time : 25minutes
When you had a very busy day at work and again you wish to have a homecook dinner with your family? That's not impossible!
I usually plan my dinner only 1 to 2 hours before dinner time, as a working mother like me, sudden cases do just came pay you visit without prior notices. Ok, what you could do, you may cook something simple, which I'm going to share with you. This recipe is simple, don't need much preparation. All you need are drumstick or thigh, wolfberry, some cuttlefish (optional), some rice wine and salt.
First of all, if you have a frozen drumstick and you wanted to defrost it. You may use microwave or the basic way, you could put in under running tap water. This will help to defrost your piece of frozen meat.
Rub the drumstick with some rice wine (Shia Xing Wine), i use 1 tablespoon then with 1 teaspoon of salt. Leave it marinade for 10 minutes. Meanwhile soak 2 tablespoon wolfberries (gei zi) and cuttlefish shred in seperate bowl of water for 5 minutes, then drained.
Place wolfberries and cuttlefish on top of the drumstick. Put into food steamer snd steam for 20 minutes. Done! Your dinnet is ready less than 1 hour.
