Simplee Dinner Ideas : Oriental Chicken Chop


Olivia loves chicken chop very much specially those with crispy batter. But I'm trying something new today. Chicken Chop without batter, cooks with gravy. This is an Oriental Style Chicken Chop, weel known among Malaysia & Singaporean Chinese. Some said it's similar to Hainanese Chicken Chop.

Preparation time: 5 min
Cooking time: 20 min

Ingredients

1 Chicken Whole Leg (you may debone)
3 tbsp cooking oil
1/4 tsp Salt & 1 tsp Corriander Powder to marinate the chicken.
100g Brocolli (steam)





Sauce
1 Cup Water
1 tbsp Corn Flour
2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
2 tbsp Tomato Sauce
1 tbsp Sugar
1/2 tbsp Salt/Soya Sauce

Methods

1) Marinate chicken for 1 hour. 

2) Heat frying pan, add in cooking oil. When oil is warm put in chicken. Use medium flame for frying. Cover with lid for 7 minutes. Flip side, cover lid again. Repeat these steps until chicken is cook (when u poke through it's thickest part of the flesh)

3) When the chicken is cooked, add in pre mixed sauce ingredients. Turn to high flame until it start boiling. Stir till sauce is well mixed. Done!
